The Tour of Tameside returned with a vengeance this month – and a record-breaking 1,200 runners took part, including 400 females!

In what has been described as the best Tour to date, runners from as far as Berlin, Germany, competed, along with the usual representatives from East Cheshire Harriers, Mossley Running Club and Hyde Village Striders, as well as Glossopdale Harriers, Stockport Harriers and Thornbury Running Club.

We attended the four days and captured some of the highlights.

Congratulations to Kirsty Longley and Mohammed Abureseq, who won the overall female and male category.
