HYDE ARTISAN MARKET DAY CALLED OFF

Hyde’s ‘spring’ Artisan Market scheduled to take place tomorrow (Saturday) has had to be cancelled due to the strong winds and hazardous, freezing winter conditions.

Karen Dorney, who organises the popular Hyde town centre Artisan Market, said the decision had been made following consultations with Tameside Markets.

“It became obvious that we had to cancel the Artisan Market tomorrow, due to the high freezing wind forecasts, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause,” said Karen.

“We waited until the last moment to make this decision, but based on the latest weather warnings we have taken the decision to cancel the event for the safety of our crafters, shoppers and all concerned.

“Thank you to everyone for their loyalty to the ‘Hyde Artisan Market Days’ and I assure you we will be open for business when we pick up the fabulous Artisan Market programme again in April.”

The Market will now open on Saturday, April 7 from 9am to 4pm.
