Evo-Stik First Division North:

Hyde United’s title chances took a hit last night after Darren Kelly’s side were beaten 2-0 by struggling Ossett Albion.

The Tigers suffered their third defeat of the season, thanks to an Adam priestley brace in the 16th and 81st minute.

Hyde still remain top of the table by two points, although second place south shields are just two points below with three games in hand

Meanwhile, Droylsden claimed a 2-2 draw at Bamber Bridge to just about keep their playoff chances alive, while Mossley were beaten 3-1 by Clitheroe despite taking the lead in the 15th minute.


Evo-Stik Premier Division:

Ashton United suffered a surprise 2-1 defeat to Caolville Town at Hurst Cross

The Robins fell behind but drew matters level in the 57th minute through Sam Sheridan, only for Coalville to grab a winner through Nathan Watson in the 70th minute.

Jody Banim’s side return to league action on Saturday at 14th place Stourbridge.

Stourbridge were held to a 1-1 draw at Buxton last night, in what was Paul phillips and Steve Halford’s first game in charge of the Bucks since leaving Glossop North End on Monday.
