REPORT: Colwyn Bay FC 5-1 Glossop North End AFC

A number of debutants relieved the injury and illness crisis at Glossop North End as The Hillmen travelled to Colwyn Bay.

Glossop wanted to put an end to their four game winless run in all competitions but were met by a strong Colwyn team who were confident after their previous two victories.

Elliott Wynn, making his debut, was called into action early in the game when he stopped a shot from Jack Hindle but was unable to react to the oncoming Danny Bartle who broke the deadlock.

The visitors reacted well when another debutant Callum Spooner got himself into a dangerous position before cutting the ball back to Ben Deegan who slotted home.

Colwyn hit back with Bartle getting his second of the game by drilling the ball through the legs of Wynn after an assist by captain Sam Barnes.

Glossop battled through the second half trying to recover the game and steal a point but Colwyn fired home three more goals in the last ten minutes.

Colwyn leapfrogged Glossop in the league and go up to eighth as The Hillmen continue their losing streak in the league without winning since the end of October.

Glossop hope to return to winning ways on Tuesday night when they travel to Ossett Town.
