Last night, Droylsden beat Ramsbottom United 1-0 in the Evo-Stik First Division North. Luke Daly headed home in the 91st minute to give the Bloods an important three points. The result has pushed Dave Pace’s side to 7th in the table on 28 points. They return to league action on Saturday with a trip to Atherton Collieries.

Glossop North End’s stint in the Derbyshire Senior Cup has ended. The Hillmen were beaten by Ilkeston Town 4-2 on penalties. The game itself ended 1-1 at the end of 90 minutes. Montel Gibson gave Ilkeston the lead in the 22nd minute, only for Jude Oyibo to level matters four minutes later. Glossop return to Evo-Stik First Division North action this weekend at Colwyn Bay.

Oldham Athletic have progressed to the next round of the Checkatrade Trophy after beating Bradford City 1-0 at Valley Parade. Obadeyi scored the only goal in the third minute to secure Richie Wellens his first win in four league games. Oldham return to League One action this weekend against Northampton Town at Boundary Park.
