Have you ever wondered what kind of decorations Santa has in his house during the festive season? Well, you don’t have to wonder no more!

‘Santa’s Living Room’ is moving into Hyde’s Clarendon Square Shopping Centre this Christmas, from this weekend, for some festive family fun.

On Saturday (December 9) and Sunday (December 10), shoppers will be able to enjoy a cosy roaring fire place, comfy sofa and Christmas tree at the free Santa’s Living Room event on the mall, where the big man himself will be hosting a heartwarming storytelling experience.

Clarendon Square Centre Manager, Paula Wood, said the event was a great way for families to spend quality time with Santa and hear some of his brilliant stories.

She said: “We’re really excited that Santa will be here at the centre. It’s not every day that you get invited to see his house so we’re thrilled that we can invite people round on his behalf.

“It’s going to be a little bit different to the usual grotto trip but it’s going to be really magical and so snuggly that our visitors will not want to leave. It’ll definitely get people into the festive spirit and we look forward to welcoming lots of children and their families for another great Christmas event at Clarendon Square.”

Saturday will also see the unveiling of the centre’s Christmas display on Rutherford Way.

A ‘snowy glade’- with reindeers and trees – will offer a cool photo opportunity for customers right up until the end of December.

The free event, ‘Santa’s Living Room’, will be on the mall at Clarendon Square from 11am to 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
