Manchester Premier League
Hindsford 2-4 Springhead

Springhead extended their unbeaten league run to three games after coming from behind twice to beat Hindsford 4-2 on Saturday.

Leighton Stephenson took the plaudits on the day after scoring a hattrick, while Ryan Hanson added a fourth to push Springhead to sixth in the table.

Nathan Haslam gave Hindsford the lead before Stephenson levelled matters for the visitors.

The hosts responded well and reasserted their lead through Ben Chambers, only for Stephenson to score two more goals to give his side a 3-2 lead.

Hanson then added a fourth to put the icing on the cake on a memorable day for Springhead.

Stephenson’s hattrick performance took his tally to 13 goals this season, which subsequently makes him the league’s leading scorer.

Springhead return to league action at struggling Bolton County this weekend, who currently sit second bottom on six points after promotion from division one last season.
