Evo-Stik First Division North:

Goole 2-2 Droylsden

The Bloods let a two goal lead slip as they came away from East Yorkshire with a point when it really should have been all three.

Manager Dave Pace gave a debut to striker Ruben Jerome on a warm but windy afternoon at the Victoria Pleasure Ground.
Neither side dominated in a first half with few clear cut chances, the Bloods best chance coming early on when Dylan Smith’s free header from a corner went wide while two half chances for Ruben Jerome were easily saved by Saynor in the Viking’s goal.

The second half though was a different story,Five minutes in the Bloods took the lead with Jerome heading home from the six yard box from an Antoine Clarke cross and two minutes later they doubled their advantage. The home side appealing for offside as Kilheeney broke through the centre and calmly slotted the ball past Saynor to make it two.

However three minutes later the home side halved the deficit,Tyler Williams scoring from the penalty spot.

Bloods continued to press for a third but without really creating many opportunities while the home side game close to an equaliser when the ball was deflected over the bar by Dylan Smith.

With a minute to go, Bloods hearts were sunk, the ball given away in the centre of the park leading to a move which saw Scott Smith convert for the Vikings.
