Stalybridge St Paul’s recovered from last week’s defeat at Compstall with a 6 wicket win against Birch Vale.

After Stalybridge won a vital toss, James Brady picked up a wicket with the very first ball of the game as Birch Vale only built one real partnership of 85 in their 124 all out. Brady finished up with 3 for 34 and Jamie Brownhill collected 4 wickets for 17.

Richard Wilde (59) then carried on his good run of form to safely see Stalybridge home, with Mike Hatton (35) also batting impressively, as Stalybridge knocked off the target for the loss of 4 wickets

Stalybridge 2’s suffered a disappointing defeat at Birch Vale as they were bowled out for 67 chasing 124

This weekend sees both teams face Hollingworth with the 2nds at home.
