Geoffrey without his beard

Police in Tameside searching for missing 74-year-old Geoffrey Ralph have released an updated photograph of him complete with the beard which he now wears.(See newly released picture above)

Geoffrey who suffers from dementia was last seen close to his home in Arbroath Street, Droylsden on Monday afternoon.

He is known to enjoy walking in local beauty spots, such as along the canal bank in Clayton Vale, Debdale Park and Daisy Nook and police are asking members of the public to keep an eye out for him in these places.

Geoffrey is described as white, of slim build, around 5ft 6in tall with short grey hair and a white beard.

He speaks with a Manchester accent and was last seen wearing a beige raincoat with orange stripes on the sleeves, brown/beige trousers, a navy pullover and brown Timberland boots. He was also seen wearing a soft, green corduroy cap.

Police are increasingly concerned for Geoffrey’s well being as they do not believe he has any means to get shelter.

They will soon be releasing CCTV footage of Geoffrey captured just before he disappeared in the hope this will refresh people’ s memory of him.

Anybody who sees Geoffrey or thinks they may have spotted him since Monday is urged to call police on 101 and quote MP/16/0097208
