Two-year-old boy injured after being hit by car in Hyde

A toddler has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car last night (10 July).

At around 7:40pm a 2-year-old boy was hit by a white Peugeot 308 on Tower Street in Hyde.

One ambulance was dispatched which took the young boy to Manchester Royal Children’s Hospital.

A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service confirmed that he had suffered head and leg injuries in the collision.

Greater Manchester Police said that the boy was now in a stable condition.

A spokesperson for GMP said: “At about 7:50pm we were called to reports that a 2 year old child had been hit by a car on Tower Street in Hyde.

“The child was taken to hospital for treatment and is now in a stable condition.”
