Wednesday 7th June 2017 @ 14:28 by Tom Greggan

Police are urgently trying to find a missing woman from Stockport.

47-year-old Alison Smith was last seen in the Lancashire Hill/Portwood roundabout area at around 2.30pm yesterday (June 6th). She was wearing a black three quarter-length coat with a fur hood and black leggings.

Alison is described as white, about 5ft 3in tall, of slim build with shoulder-length blonde hair and green eyes.

Chief Inspector Richard Timson, from GMP’s Stockport Borough, said: “We are desperately trying to find Alison and are doing everything in our power to do so.

“We are extremely worried about her and her family are understandably beside themselves.

“Our priority is making sure she is safe and well and I want Alison to know that she is not in any trouble whatsoever.

“Please have a look at Alison’s picture and her description and look out for her.

“If you think you have seen her then please call police immediately on 0161 856 9154 or 9721. Alternatively, you can call 101.”
