Glossop Pyegrove Tennis Club to hold open day
Monday 26th June 2017 @ 11:57 by Mark Phillip

Yes, it’s that time of year again – Wimbledon. But you don’t just have to plonk yourself in front of the TV and watch. Why don’t you come down to Glossop Pyegrove Tennis Club off Sheffield Road on the middle Saturday of Wimbledon (July 8th) and pick up a racket?

It doesn’t matter if you have never played in your life or were once quite good but are now very rusty. The Open Day, running from 11am to 3pm, will give all ages and abilities the chance to hit a few balls, play a few games, all under the watchful eye of the club’s coaches who will be there to provide free advice and tuition.

Rackets and balls will be supplied, as will light refreshments if the exercise is all too much for you. Annual membership of the club runs from April to March but there will be special offers on membership if you sign up on the day.

Coaching sessions are open to non-members too.  Club members will be there to answer your questions and play some social tennis with you. What are you waiting for?
