Tributes to father killed in Ashton collision

The partner of a man who died following a collision in Ashton has paid tribute to him.

At around 1.55pm last Saturday (May 13), a yellow Yamaha quadbike was riding along Lordsfield Avenue from the direction of Turner Lane.

The quad bike came off the road near to the junction of Northumberland Road before the rider, who has been formally identified as 25-year-old Lewis Walsh, came off.

He was taken to hospital with multiple injuries where he sadly died.

Lewis’s partner Leanne paid tribute to him: “Lewis was taken too soon at the age of 25. He was loved so much by his partner Leanne, girls Freya and Harper, his Nan Linda, Dad Terri, his brothers Reece, John, and Ben, his sister Katie, his cousins Matty, Johnny and Chloe, and all the rest of his family and friends.

She added: “We are truly devastated, but know that his memory will live on through his baby girl Harper and all those who shared precious memories of Lewis. May he rest peacefully.”
