Regan departs Bower Fold for the Tameside Stadium

Curzon Ashton have recruited the services of Matt Regan for the 2017/18 season.

Joining from Stalybridge Celtic, Regan is a versatile player who can perform in the centre of defence and midfield.

Upon being released by the Liverpool Under 21 squad, Regan joined Nottingham Forest before signing for Tamworth in 2013.

The 22-year-old also lists Hednesford Town and Northwich Victoria as his pervious clubs.

Speaking to Curzon’s official website, manager John Flanagan said: ”

Manager John Flanagan said: “We are really pleased to have secured Matt for next season. He is a great age and has good non-league experience at the level in two spells with Stalybridge.

“He has been good for a number of seasons now and will add balance to the left-hand side. He is an excellent technical footballer and will fit in perfectly.”

Regan joins a growing list of players to have agreed terms with Curzon, including midfielders Paul Marshall and Joe Guest, as well as defender Olly Thornley.
