A popular Ashton pub-restaurant is asking local residents to nominate a ‘good egg’ for the chance to win £500.

The Ash Tree Farm on Ashton Moss, which is part of the Farmhouse Inns collection of pubs, is launching a nationwide Easter egg hunt with a difference; searching for local people who go above and beyond for their family and friends.

Five finalists from across the country will be entered into an online vote in which the public will decide on an overall winner to receive a £500 cash prize, and a family meal at their local Farmhouse Inn.

The four runners up will also receive £100 worth of Farmhouse Inn vouchers as well as a Cadbury World family pass, to help bring the family together this Easter

Kathryn Day, general manager at Ash Tree Farm, said: “All families have that one member who organises everything, is always there for others and never shies away from offering a helping hand – so here at Ash Tree Farm, we think it’s time to celebrate them.

“We want people to nominate a ‘good egg’ this Easter so we can thank the person everyone in the family relies on, and give them the treat they deserve.

“We know there are lots of ‘good eggs’ in Ashton so we would love a local to win this egg-cellent prize!”

To nominate a good egg in your family, visit before Sunday 2 April and explain in 100 words why your loved one deserves an Easter treat.

The nominators of the five finalists will also receive a family pass to Cadbury World.
