The Royal Exchange Theatre and Graeae Theatre Company presents the co-production of The House of Bernarda Alba by Federico Garcia Lorca until 25 February.

Translated by Joe Clifford and directed by Jenny Sealey, the award winning Kathryn Hunter will be appearing in the title role in this exploration of power, sexuality and female identity.

Deaf and disabled actors will perform in Lorca’s final masterpiece and each performance integrates British Sign Language, Audio Description and Captioning.

Bernarda rules her household and the lives of her five daughters since the death of her husband, but is challenged when Angustias attracts a wealthy suitor.

Jenny Sealey co-directed the London 2012 Paralympics Opening Ceremony and has been Artistic Director of Graeae since 1997.
