Former Audenshaw School pupil Zach Clough created Bolton’s second goal in the Trotters 4-0 victory over Gillingham in a SkyBet League One clash on Monday evening.

An intricate piece of play between Josh vela and Clough ended with the former slotting beautifully past Nelson in goal.

Bolton also had former Audenshaw pupil and Manchester United defender Tom Thorpe in the starting XI.

The 23-year-old is currently on loan from Championship outfit Rotherham United.

Victory lifts Bolton to second in the table and just one point below table topping Scunthorpe United.

Bolton return to League One action at Chesterfield on Saturday.
