A dance company from Hyde are hoping to help smash a world record in a ‘Tapathon’ on Sunday to raise money for Children in Need.

It’s part of a tap dancing event taking place across hundreds of locations nationwide to set a world record attempt for the number of dance enthusiasts involved this year, led by The Performers Project.

ArtSync Dance have been rehearsing hard and they hope to help break last year’s record of 7,500 people involved.

Launched in 2012, they offer classes in Ballet, Tap and Modern Dance from the age of three for all levels and abilities at The United Church on Union Street in Hyde from Monday to Thursday every week.

Children in Need is the BBC’s UK charity, which has raised over £600 million for disabled children and young people since 1980.

You can donate through ArtSync via their JustGiving page, which can be found at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ARTSync.
