East Cheshire Harriers Christopher Swire and Michelle Vaughan both set new personal best times on Sunday.Both were in Germany for the Frankfurt marathon. Christopher improved his pb to 2.54.33 placing 701st, Michelle improved hers to 3.12.53.

Two East Cheshire Harriers were in Perth, Australia, for the World Masters championships held over the last week. In the 8km male over 50’s cross country race, Ian Fraser placed 12th in 31.01, Saul Gallagher 27th in 34.45.

In the Snowdonia marathon at Llanberis, Glossopdale Harriers David Boundy placed 195th in 3.32.10, while Steven Pepper finished in 4.46.16.

Just making it under five hours were Elizabeth Dowd in 4.59.57 and Vicki Hamilton in 4.59.59. Marie Williamson enjoying the half term holiday from school running 5.26.36, Jayne Moreton also 5.26.36.

Belle Vue Racers Ben Marsh 644th in 4.04.31, Annie Hirsch 4.16.35, Andy Wopod 4.25.19, Lisa Donnelly 4.28.31, Patrick O’Brien 4.43.56, Leah Evans 4.48.01, Hyde Village Strider Maria Arruzzese ran 5.57.13.

Two Glossopdale Harriers took on the undulating Accrington 10km race. Richard White came in 24th in 41.11, Andy Burnett 83rd in 47.12.

Saddleworth Runners Ian Kenworthy took a top ten placing at the Bradford half marathon in West Yorkshire coming home 6th in 1.22.59.
