A Droylsden business man is the face of a new campaign between and Manchester City to mark the start of the new English football season.

The campaign showcases the true fans behind Manchester City who bring pride to their city and Wayne Coyle, who owns the Tropical Palms salon on Chappell Road, fits that bill.

His ‘Community Cutz’ scheme, which sees Droylsden’s over-60s receive free hair treatments every other Wednesday, attracted the attention of the team and he was asked to be one of a number of fans to front the new campaign.

“When asked which part of my business I would like to receive a website for, I decided to put the Community Cutz forward as it deserves the massive exposure this website will get .

“I’m really thankful to Wix for providing us with this new website. Wix is the official website design partner for MCFC so if it’s good enough for City, it’s definitely good enough for me.”

Speaking on the campaign, CMO Ormer Shai said: “Passionate about the game, these true fans are upholding the values of the game and act as global role models for others. As our two brands share values and vision we wanted to showcase these people on a global stage using our technology, a strong, passionate and honourable reflection of Manchester City Football Club and the English game.”

Omar Berrada, Chief Operating Officer at Manchester City added: “We are incredibly proud of the fans we have at Manchester City. Their passion and support is invaluable to everyone at the Club and Wix’s ‘This City is Ours’ is a unique opportunity to highlight their stories.
