Audenshaw School’s Under 13 and Under 16 squads are currently celebrating after claiming the Lancashire School Plate on Sunday at Southport Rugby Club.

Under the guidance of Mr Brooks, the Under 13’s claimed the silverware following a 19-10 victory against Bolton.

In similar fashion, the Under 16’s were also victorious after a compelling 16-0 win against Birkdale High School.

The occasion marked the last time the under 16’s will play together before moving onto pastures new.

The school amassed a number of trophies last weekend, with the Under 12 football team claiming the Manchester Grammar School 9aside title.

The swimming team took the plaudits last Tuesday at the Greater Manchester School Games.

Having taken the plunge in the fiercely contested competition, the squad emerged from the pool victorious, and were subsequently crowned as County Champions.

The event, held at the Manchester Aquatics Centre, was dominated by the Audenshaw swimmers who finished first in every event except for two.

Wunnai Tam extended his unbeaten run to 20 races and has never come anything but first in his performances for the school.

Jolan Bennett came second in the fly, Alex Campbell third in the backstroke and Kian Tevlin the winner of the freestyle.

The boys won all of the relays, the cannon in partnership with the girls of Fairfield School, to wrap up another incredible afternoon for Audenshaw swimming.
