Ashton United make the long journey to the East Coast this evening to take on Whitby Town.

The Robins currently sit fourth in the table on 50 points, ten points adrift of league leaders Blyth Spartans.

Having beaten Grantham Town 2-0 at the weekend, Ashton will head into the clash brimming with confidence.

Apart from a 5-1 loss to Radcliffe Borough in the Manchester Premier Cup last Tuesday, Ashton have enjoyed a fruitful two months.

A terrific run saw the team pick up 18 out of a possible 21 points.

Meanwhile, Whitby have stuttered recently, picking up a paltry nine points from their previous six games.

The Seasiders enter tonight’s clash in the last remaining relegation spot.

Kick-Off at the Turnbull Ground is scheduled for 7.45pm.
