Snow Queen At College

Actors and dancers from Glossopdale Community College are staging ‘The Snow Queen’ at Central Methodist Church.

Proceeds from the performances, 7pm on Friday and Saturday, January 22 and 23, are for Life You Chose, the arts and multi-media group for people with learning difficulties.

The Hans Andersen story had been adapted for the stage by local writer Pamela Turton.

There will be live piano accompaniment from Peter Lawson, a professional musician who teaches at Chethams School of Music.

Peter also plays in ‘The Snowman,’ which is currently touring the country.

The performances will be narrated by two other local writers, Mark P Henderson and Margaret Holbrook.
