Ashton’s PureGym is backing National Fitness Day today by offering everyone free access to its facilities.

PureGym Ashton-under-Lyne will be supporting National Fitness Day by giving non-members the chance to use the facilities on Wednesday 9th September.

Hundreds of clubs, parks and leisure centres, including PureGym, are all getting involved in a bid to get the nation moving for free.

PureGym Ashton-under-Lyne will be offering free day passes for anyone over 18 that is looking to lead a healthier lifestyle and experience first-hand what the club has to offer.

The initiative is being run by not-for-profit health body UKactive who are taking on the task of raising awareness of the importance and benefits of physical activity. The ultimate goal is to kick-start the journey to regular exercise for thousands of people across the country.

Benjamin Barnett, General Manager at PureGym Ashton-under-Lyne, said: “National Fitness Day is a great initiative that PureGym are proud to be a part of.  We are becoming more sedentary as a nation so anything that we can do to encourage people to get active and educate them on the benefits is worthwhile.”

To get your free day pass to PureGym Ashton-under-Lyne simply visit, click on “Join Now – Fixed Term” and type in the promotion code “PGNFD”.
