After being inspired by a Droylsden mother and daughter who shaved their heads for charity, local business woman Pam Morris has kickstarted an auction to raise even more money for their cause.

Pam, from Mossley, runs handmade business The Pixie Cottage and is a big supporter of Mind.

She decided to put on a Facebook auction with her own products and managed to get an impressive 60 other businesses on board from around the UK although the majority are from Tameside.

Items up for grabs range from wooden plaques to cases of wine, spa days and homeware. People are asked to place their bid in the comments below the picture of the item they are interested in and the winning bidder then has to pay their money to Kerrianne’s Just Giving page.

The market event began on Sunday and finishes at 4pm this Sunday 22nd.

To take part in the auction visit Charity Market Event for Mind on Facebook or to donate visit www.justgiving.com/kerrianne-Maloney.

More on this in this in the 19th March edition of the Tameside Reporter.
