In the National Premier Division 2 league, the squad ran out victors in a nail-biting 46-41 encounter with Grangetown that secured their place at the top of the table.

The steely performance was encapsulated by two members of the team who were selected recently to represent the local super league squad, Manchester Thunder.

Having completed a remarkable transition from defence to attack, Eleanor Cardwell secured her place in the side following a glittering performance against the Yorkshire Jets last October.

Eleanor will be in good company throughout the campaign too, as Paige Kindred is set to adorn the renowned yellow and black attire.

In the Regional League, the Under 16’s and Under 14’s squad continue to go from strength to strength.

Gritty performances against Blackpool saw the Under 16’s comprehensively beat their counterparts 102-14, whilst the Under 14’s emulated that triumph with a 100-15 score line.

The club are still on the hunt to strengthen their youngsters though, with interested players who are in year 3-6 at Primary School welcomed to training sessions on Wednesdays at Copley.
