Lymefield 2

More than 100 people packed into Broadbottom Community Centre on Friday night and they all wanted to save the at riskĀ  Lymefield Visitor Centre.

They claimed the Lower Market Street complex was an amenity not only for the village but the whole of Tameside and on into the High Peak.

And the villagers felt the sale plan by Tameside Council was a retrograde step and should be fought all the way.
The meeting was to voice concerns of the people of Broadbottom to ward councillors.
