New Bar for Stalybridge
Wednesday 12th February 2014 @ 14:28 by james.dean

Stalybridge’s latest “bar” is set to open on Monday but this is a bar with a difference.
Located on Shepley Street, Stalybridge, Willow Wood Hospice is opening a brand new and unique Coffee Bar on the first floor of the Hospice’s Pad Department Store (pictured).
Head of fundraising at the hospice John Fellowes said: “As the need for our
services continue to grow, so does the need for us to explore every opportunity available to raise vital funds.
“All proceeds from the Coffee Bar will go towards the cost of providing our high-quality specialist care within the Hospice itself.
“But without the support of our community, who continue to be brilliant, this just wouldn’t be the case.”
So, whether you’re looking for a place to catch up with friends over a nice cuppa, or somewhere just to relax, the new Pad Coffee Bar is the place to go in Stalybridge town centre.
John continued: “The coffee bar is our first venture into the world of coffee shops but as people who have sampled the hospice catering facilities will know that we already have a reputation for excellent standards.”
Under the guidance of the hospice’s head chef, Mark Kitchen, the new bar will offer a selection of teas, coffees and soft drinks as well as chocolates, light snacks and a coffee take away service for those on the go, which is bound to become a big hit with office workers and residents alike.
Mark said: “It is going to take a bit of time for the Coffee Bar to be fully up and running and we would really like to hear ideas from local people about what they would like to see on the menu.
“Really it’s up to customers to let us know what they want and we will do our best to accommodate their needs, but we hope to be able to expand our range in the not too distant future.”
The Pad Coffee Bar will be open Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm and for those really on the go – there is the added bonus of free one hour parking right outside of the shop. For larger groups telephone (0161) 330 7445 to book.
