Victims of domestic violence across Tameside no longer have to suffer in silence.

With the help of New Charter, those that need someone to confide in can visit a freshly painted double-decker, dubbed ‘The Big Blue Bus’. It’s been freshly painted by the association and will stop at four different locations over 16 days.

The council, police, victim support and other agencies will join the bus tour to provide information to the public. Sue Hird, Director of Tenancy and Support Services at New Charter heaped praise on the Women’s Aid initiative and stated “sadly domestic violence affects many people, and by going out on our bus during the 16 Day Campaign, we hope to make it easier for people to get the help they need.”
