Rosemount Trinity Methodist Church in Hyde will be holding ‘A Weekend to Remember’ on Saturday the 10th of November to commemorate and remember the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI.

There will be an exhibition about WWI, with film shows throughout the day. The exhibition will explain the varied events that led to the end of the war and include the story of a Methodist Local Preacher who was a conscientious objector. There will also be a large display of military badges and a fun quiz.

Refreshments available. Admission free. 11am – 3pm

On Sunday the 11th at 10am there will be a short open-air service at the war memorial at Dragon Square, off Bennett Street, Hyde. Followed by an all-age Service of Remembrance at Rosemount Trinity at 10:45am led by Malcolm Evans.
