The second open day of 2019 is being held at Clayton Hall this Saturday, February 16th.

Held on the first and third Saturday of every month, the open days give guests the chance to explore the historic, Grade II* listed building and surrounding grounds.

The hall is dressed to resemble a Victorian home- although the building is actually older- including a kitchen, dining room, pantry, drawing room costume room and children’s bedroom.

You can take a step back in time in the hall’s Victorian rooms or reminisce in the memories room. Light refreshments are served in the tea room, which is dedicated to the Chetham family who once owned the hall. There are two history talks on the day, at 12 noon and 2pm. and there is also a gift shop.

Admission is completely free but donations to Clayton Hall are welcome.

All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult, and parking restrictions apply if Manchester City are playing at home, which isn’t the case this Saturday.
