Police have released these shocking CCTV images of an armed robbery at a store in Audenshaw.

Two men armed with a hammer and a baton entered the One Stop on Droylsden Road through the main door of the shop and began threatening staff.

They demanded staff hand over cash, along with the store keys and took bottles of spirits before leaving a short time later.

The raiders headed off on foot towards Kershaw Lane.

Nobody was injured during the incident; however the three members of staff present were left extremely shaken by the raid, which happened at around 6pm on Tuesday, November 6.

Detective Constable Graeme Masheter, of GMP’s Tameside Borough, said: “These members of staff were simply at work carrying out their job when they were targeted.

“Everyone has the right to be able to go to their workplace without the fear of attack, but these two offenders ignored that right and subjected the staff members to a terrifying ordeal.

“As a direct result of the incident, store trading has been impacted and we would ask anyone who was near the shop or in the area to please get in touch and share any information you know about what happened.”

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police on 0161 856 9262 or 101, quoting incident number 352 of 06/11/18.

You can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
