Pre-season friendly
Conwy Borough 2-0 Droylsden

Two first goals from Corrig McGonigle were the difference between the two sides in the Bloods’ fourth pre-season outing.

The first, an audacious shot from inside his own half that caught Droylsden’s trialist keeper off his line, the second a penalty after the keeper was adjudged to have brought down Sean McCaffery.

Both teams played some good football in difficult, dry and hot conditions with the Bloods having a lot of the ball without creating many chances while the home team will surely draw confidence from their display as they begin their league campaign next weekend.

The Bloods play their final friendly at the Butchers Arms next Saturday when they entertain Witton Albion.
