Award for Summer’s Quay site manager

A site manager working on the new Summer’s Quay development in Armentieres Square, Stalybridge has been recognised for his outstanding work.

Dermot Nolan, 41, from Dane Bank has been awarded a ‘Pride in the Job Quality Award’ by the National House Building Council.

Now in its 38th year, the awards celebrate the exceptional contribution site managers make in creating homes of outstanding quality.

There a currently around 16,000 registered site managers working across the UK and all are assessed across 44 areas of site management to ensure quality. Spot-checks take place to monitor the day to day running of their sites and only those who demonstrate exceptional standards are presented with an award.

Dermot was delighted to be honoured with the award, he said: ““I am honoured to receive this Quality Award from NHBC. All the site managers around the country participate so it’s certainly something I am proud of.”

The Armentieres Square site is an £8m project for Cavendish Property Developments and is managed by Rowlinson. Rowlinson Managing Director David Chilton congratulated Dermot on his award, saying: “Quality and safety are paramount to Rowlinson so we are all thrilled that Dermot’s efforts have been recognised. There is a huge amount of competition and it’s a fabulous achievement.”

The journey doesn’t stop there for Dermot as he now progresses to the next round of awards to compete for a coveted ‘Seal of Excellence’ and the North West title.

Summer’s Quay is a new development located in Stalybridge town centre that compromises of 67 luxury apartments
