Ashton United will begin life in the Vanarama National League North with a home fixture against Nuneaton Borough on Saturday August 4th.

The Robins then face two tough trips to FC United and Kidderminster Harriers in a baptism of fire after last season’s promotion. There are seven fixtures in the opening month of the campaign, with a trip to Southport over August bank holiday weekend sure to delight fans.

Ashton’s last away tie of the season is a trip to Boston United on Monday April 22nd. Their regular season ends with a home tie against Altrincham, who last season were promoted from the Evo-Stik Premier Division as champions.

The much-anticipated derbies with Curzon Ashton will take place over the festive period. The two sides will meet at the Tameside Stadium on Boxing Day, with the reverse fixture at Hurst Cross taking place on New Year’s Day.

Curzon will begin their season on the road, opening with a long trip to Darlington. They then have two home games against sides new to the division.

Chester, who were relegated from the Vanarama National League last season, will travel to the Tameside Stadium on Monday August 6th. That’s followed by a visit from phoenix club Hereford FC, whose rise up the pyramid continued last season with promotion from the Southern League Premier Division.

Curzon’s former CEO Natalie Atkinson will have to wait until April to visit the Tameside Stadium, when Curzon host Southport on the 20th. She’ll be welcoming her old colleagues to Haig Avenue on October 30th.

Curzon will end their fourth consecutive season in the National League North at home to Spennymoor Town.
