Lucky residents in Dukinfield are set to share an astounding £3million windfall from the People’s Postcode Lottery.

The winning postcode of SK16 5 was announced in a special Facebook Live video with TV presenter Matt Johnson (pictured top) yesterday.

Winners will receive an invitation to attend a special party to find out exactly how much they’ve won at Dukinfield RUFC on Saturday July 28th.

The full winning postcode will land the biggest prize and players’ prizes will vary depending on how many tickets they played with this month.

Incredibly, it’s the second time in just three months that the £3million prize has been won in Tameside. In April, four Audenshaw residents landed just under £300,000 each after their postcode M34 5LY landed the main jackpot.

Another 820 people in the M34 5 area received between £1,989 and £7,965 each.

Elsewhere, a number of smaller prizes have been handed out by the People’s Postcode Lottery in Tameside. In January, four players on Brushes Road in Stalybridge landed £30k each while last month, four residents on Poplar Grove, Ashton, shared £5k between them.

A minimum of 32% of People’s Postcode Lottery ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised £310 million to date for 4,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally.

Ashton-based charity Baggy Trousers UK is one good that players have supported. The group received £10,394 last year to fund a testicular cancer support group.
