WATCH School pay tribute to ‘wonderful teacher’ with Race for Life

St John Fisher Roman Catholic Primary School has been raising money for Cancer Research UK.

Throughout Monday, teachers, pupils and parents donned their trainers and took part in a Race for Life around the field and playground.

The school has held the same race over the past two years, raising more than £10,000 in the process.

The day also marked the two year anniversary since the passing of former deputy head teacher Charlotte Conlon, who tragically died aged just 32 after a short battle with a rare form of cancer.

We spoke to teacher Ryan Bardsley about the significance of the event:
