Our Macmillan ‘Bring A Pound Day’ smashes past £2,400!

Our Macmillan ‘Bring A Pound Day’ campaign has been going on all day today – and at the close of play at 5pm we have collected exactly £2,401 – with the promise of more to come.

Last year our ‘Bring A Pound Day’ for the charity raised thousands of pounds for the Tameside Macmillan Unit in just one day in February last year, thanks to your amazing generosity.

Local groups, organisations, schools and businesses all rallied round to participate in our ‘Bring A Pound Day’ as every single pound steadily added up to a remarkable amount.

Today we’ve been doing it all over again!

This year we’ve been helping to raise extra funds for the unit – plus cash for local community Macmillan grants – funds which specifically go to help those living with cancer in our communities.

We’ve been broadcasting everyone’s fundraising efforts ‘live’ once again throughout the whole day on Tameside Radio as we visit you all out and about across our whole community.

There’s still time to be a part of it if you would like to make a donation for our Macmillan ‘Bring A Pound Day’.

Call us on 0161 379 0420 if you would like to make a donation – we’d love to hear from you.

And a huge thank you to everyone – schools, businesses, groups, organisations and individuals – everyone who has pledged to be involved today across our communities.

We still have some further generous donations to collect tomorrow – and know some of you have other events planned over the weekend too – so look forward to today’s total continuing to grow.

Your support is much appreciated and can help to make a real difference to those living with cancer in our communities because…

A message we’re sure you’ll all agree with. Thank you to Pinfold Primary School in Hyde for their donations today.
