Mossley have confirmed the signing of midfielder Mason Duffy ahead of the 2018/19 season.

The Lilywhites, who have been allocated a spot in the Evo-Stik League West alongside Glossop and Droylsden, will be under the management of Dave Wild and Terry Hincks.

The duo have acted swiftly to sign Duffy, who originally joined from Sheffield Wednesday in 2016 and became a key player last season, scoring eight goals in 43 starts.

Mossley finished the season in 19th spot and 13 points above the relegation zone. After struggling to compete throughout the season and finding themselves in danger of being relegated, the board decided to part company with long-serving managers Peter Band and Lloyd Morrison in March. The duo were replaced by Stockport Town manager Dave Wild and former Glossop assistant Terry Hincks, who took charge of the final eight games of the season, winning three, losing three and drawing two.
