Former West Hill School pupil, Rob Holding, has signed a long-term contract extension with Arsenal.

The 22-year-old joined the club from Bolton Wanderers in July 2016 and has since made 42 appearances for the first team.

Holding made his debut in the opening game of the 2016/17 season against Liverpool, before coming to the fore in the FA Cup Final victory over Chelsea last year.

The defender has also represented England at U21 level five times, helping the squad to reach the semi-finals of the 2017 Uefa European Under-21 Championship in Poland.

Holding, who has also spent a brief loan period with Bury, was named as Bolton’s Player of the Season in 2015/16.
