Monday 26th March 2018 @ 13:55 by Mark Phillip

Bolton, Bury and District League:

Chadderton Park under 18’s enjoyed a great 3-1 win away at Woodbank Juniors U18 thanks to goals from Morgan Fox with a brace and Jack Dance.

Tameside Saturday League:

Chadderton Park under 17’s Eagles suffered a heart-breaking 2-1defeat away at Flixton JFC in the First Round of the Under 18’s League Cup.

The Eagles started the game brightly and went 1-0 after only 6 minutes when good work down the left wing allowed Dylan Whittingham to cross to Niall Webb who fired home from close range. But Flixton drew level midway through the first half and it nearly got worse for the Eagles when they conceded a cheap penalty, however the Flixton player struck the ball against the post.
Midway through the second half and poor defending allowed Flixton to some how bundle the ball home.

With minutes remaining and the Eagles pressing for an equaliser a teasing ball was played across the Flixton goal mouth and Dylan Whittingham somehow was unable to apply the final touch to force the ball home for the equaliser and Flixton held on for the win.

Tameside Sunday League:

Chadderton Park under 18’s Lions had a fantastic 5-0 win at home to Mossley JFC U18’s. The Lions were strong throughout the game from start to finish and with some real good football on show and great teamwork lead to the goals with Ben Hamlin scoring a brace and the other goals coming from Josef Rimmer, Brandon Dronsfield and Jack O’Neil.

North Bury League:

Chadderton Park under 14’s Lions had a comprehensive 9-2 win away at Radcliffe Borough JFC Bulls. On a small bobbly pitch the Lions started extremely well, a great early finish from Adam Belwassa set the tone for the game, the lead was doubled when Dalton Martins finished with further goals coming from Kane Stevens, Elijah Oluga, Antonios Koiloropoulos and a brace from Kristian Walker before Adam Belwassa and Dalton Martins got their second goals of the game.

Chadderton Park under 13’s Griffins returned to action with a fantastic 5-0 win at home to Westbury Tornadoes in the 3rd Round of the North Bury JFL Main Cup.

When the Griffins attacking play finally breached the Westbury defence, the goals flowed.

Chadderton Park under 12’s Dragons playing only their third game this year made it 9 wins out 9 with hard fought 2-0 win away at Radcliffe Borough Aces.

The deadlock was broken after 18 minutes when Lewis Newton crossed in from a free-kick and the Radcliffe defence failed to clear allowing Josef Cunningham to fire home from 10 yards.

Just before the break Radcliffe were awarded a penalty which was subsequently fired high over the bar.

With 10 minutes remaining in the game a cleverly seen long pass from Josef Cunningham sent Jack Wright through on goal and his determination to win the ball enabled him to slot the ball into an empty net.

East Manchester Junior Football League – Saturday:

Chadderton Park under 14s Dragons had to settle for a 1-1 draw against a very much in-form Springhead team. A tough game that saw the Dragons play some fantastic football but they failed to capitalise on the number of chances they created and the game remained 0-0 at half time.

But a comedy of errors saw the Dragons go one nil down in the second half when Springhead scored from a corner.

The Dragons then switched to a back 3 and it payed off with a fabulous goal from Saja Manafa to give the Dragons a more than deserved point.

North Manchester Girls League:

Chadderton Park U17 Lionesses finished runners up in the league following a 10-1 defeat to unbeaten Champions Uppermill.
A relatively even first half saw both teams creating chances but Uppermill took theirs to lead two nil at the breaks.

Unfortunately the good work in the first half was soon undone as a raft of quick goals were conceded.

Girl of the game Lucy Reeves thoroughly deserved her goal on 59 minutes with a superb individual effort which saw her beat 4 players and slotting home past the keeper.

Chadderton Park U13 Girls suffered a disappointing 5-0 defeat against top of the league Droylsden. The opening minutes looked promising for the girls with a great effort from Anna Keeling hitting the post but Droylsden went one up minutes later.
Though most of the girls heads went down, girl of the game Emma Ellis however had a tremendous game and worked her socks off has she was all over the pitch.

Chadderton Park Mighties beat Rochdale Raptors 25-24 to be crowned Bury League Year 7-9 Premier Division Champions for the Winter League.

A deserved win for a hardworking and committed group of girls.

A great final league game win for Chadderton Park Miracles against a strong DNA team.

Final score Miracles 17 V 14 DNA Red Devils.
Final position 4th in division 2. Yr 7-9 Bury league. A great achievement to end our 1st year as a team.
