Mossley AFC have confirmed the appointment of Dave Wild and Terry Hincks as joint Managers.

This follows the difficult decision to relieve Peter Band and Lloyd Morrison of their duties on Wednesday evening after almost five seasons in charge.

Following the announcement, a club statement read: “The club would like to place on record their gratitude to Peter and Lloyd for their superb efforts during their time at Seel Park which included guiding the Lilywhites to two Manchester Premier Cups with victories over Curzon Ashton and Stalybridge Celtic in consecutive finals.”

On their departure Director John Larner said: “Peter and Lloyd have been a pleasure to work with. Their enthusiasm is infectious and they’ve always done their best for the club. Unfortunately, recent results and performances haven’t matched the high standards they set and for those reasons we feel a change is required. They will always be welcome at Seel Park.”

A UEFA qualified coach, Dave Wild joins Mossley from North West Counties League club Stockport Town, whilst Terry Hincks brings a wealth of experience from previous roles at Cheadle Town and Glossop North End.

Dave and Terry will be joined by former Stockport Town Assistant Manager Phil Carratt whilst First Team Coach Liam Hudson will also be making the move from Stockport Sports Village.

On the new appointments, Larner said: “we’d like to welcome both Dave and Terry, along with Phil and Liam to Seel Park as we look to make a fresh start. We’re positive they can help us climb the table and bring the best out of the squad. We’d like to wish them every success in their new roles.

‘The Committee will continue to work extremely hard to support the new management team in achieving their goals.

‘We know they will be made to feel very welcome by our brilliant supporters and we’d love to see Seel Park packed out at the Glossop match on Bank Holiday Monday to give them a proper Mossley welcome’.”

The managerial duo will be taking charge of their first game at Ramsbottom United in the Evo-Stik First Division North on Saturday.
