Ashton United striker Jack Dyche has returned to parent club Scunthorpe United following the end of his loan spell with the Robins.

Known for his goal scoring prowess, Dyche returned to Hurst Cross for a third spell at the start of the season, having previously enjoyed two spells with the club last season.

Commenting on Dyche’s departure, Vice Chairman Steve Hobson said: “Hopefully Jack’s injury woes will settle and he will leave us to become a fearsome opponent to other clubs at higher levels of the game. It would be great to see him forge a career in the game”.

The Robins maintained their recent fine form with a 3-0 victory over Marine on Saturday.

Jody Banim’s side, who sit fourth in the table, travel to ninth place Witton Albion on Saturday.
