Manchester Premier League

Hindsford 0-3 Avro

Avro continued their season-long unbeaten run with a 3-0 victory at Hindsford in the Manchester Premier League on Saturday.

Victory on the afternoon came courtesy of a Louis Potts header and a brace from joint-manager James Hampson, who has now taken his tally to 11 for the season.

The result leaves the club in first position on 46 points, two points ahead of second place Wythenshawe Amateurs with three games in hand.

However, Avro’s dominance at the top-of-the-table could change this weekend when Wythenshawe visit the Vestacare Stadium.

Defeat for Avro could leave the title race wide open, as Wythenshawe are in fine form themselves, having won 14, drawn two and lost three of their 19 games this season.

Avro’s defence will need to be wary this weekend, as The Ammies boast a fine striker in David Wright, who has registered 15 times this season.

Wythenshawe enter the fixture having inflicted a 4-0 defeat on Dukinfield Town last weekend.

The result subsequently extended Dukinfield’s winless run to four league games.
