Tameside Saturday League:

Chadderton Park under 17’s Cobras suffered a 3-1 defeat away at league leaders AFC Stanley, the Cobras went 1-0 down before Lewis Smith made it 1-1 but Stanley ran out winners.

East Manchester Junior Football League – Saturday:

Chadderton Park under 14s Dragons reached the Semi-Finals of the EMJFL Primary Cup with a hard fought 5-2 win away at Delamere Rangers. Rangers took an early 1-0 lead and should have been 2-0 up after 10 minutes but for a fine penalty save from Kye Farrugia. The Dragons then hit back to lead 3-1 at half time and they eventually ran out 5-2 winners at the end thanks to goals from Abdullah Cheema (2), Liam Wilson with a brilliant strike, Harrison Fairclough and Lewis Skeldon.

North Manchester Girls League:

Chaddy Park U17 Lionesses gained a well-earned point with a 2-2 draw away at Moss Lane Rovers.
The Lionesses had a depleted squad with only 12 fit players available due to overnight illness so a change of formation was enforced on the team but this didn’t affect the girls as they were quick off the mark taking the lead after 5 minutes when an excellent through ball from Lorna-Jo Holt found Georgia Skerritt clean through one-on-one with the keeper and she lifted the ball over the keeper into the net.
In the 31st minute and it was 2-0 to the Lionesses with Lorna-Jo Holt scoring a 25 yard free kick.
The second half couldn’t have started any worse, after just 33 seconds Moss Lane pulled a goal back and this started wave after wave of attacks from Moss Lane and it was now a case of when and not if an equaliser was to arrive.
Just after the hour mark the inevitable happened when Moss Lane finally got their equaliser and four minutes later it nearly got worse. The Lionesses conceded a penalty but Girl of the Match Aimee Brierley pulled off a superb save to save the spot kick.
The final 15 minutes were end-to-end attack from both teams as they pushed for a winning goal but at the end it finished all square.

Chaddy Park U13 Girls suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat away at SK Vipers in the quarter finals of the knock out cup.

County Cup:

Chadderton Park under 12’s Dragons suffered their first defeat of the season when they lost 6-0 at home to an impressive and very organised Altrincham Reds.
