Hyde Unitarian Chapel will be getting into the festive spirit this weekend and you can join them.

The Gee Cross church are holding a Christmas tree festival, with around 20 local organisations presenting and decorating trees.

It’s open on Friday from 1pm to 5pm, Saturday from 10am to 4pm and Sunday from 10am to 12pm.

There will be a raffle, a cake stall, gifts, refreshments available and other stalls.

Then, on Sunday afternoon from 2:30pm, there will be a Christmas community celebration at the Knott Lane church in collaboration with Denton Brass Band.

There’s a Christmas carol service, which Tameside Civic Mayor Joyce Bowerman and other dignitaries will be attending, while MP Jonathan Reynolds will give a reading.
