North Bury League:

Chadderton Park under 14’s Lions enjoyed a great 5-0 win away at Miam Miam Celtic Hoops. It was a comfortable mornings work for the Lions and they were never really in any trouble. Antonios Koiloropolous starting up front instead of centre half gave us the lead which was doubled with a thumping Kane Stevens header from a Charlie Sarsfield corner. Further goals came from Adam Belwassa and Kristian Walker before a rocket volley by Lewis North wrapped up proceedings. The woodwork was struck four times and their keeper was voted the man of the match.
The Lions also said farewell to their Goalkeeper Joe Collinge on Saturday who has signed for Port Vale Under 15s. Great move for him and his team and the club wish him all the best.

Chadderton Park under 13’s Griffins had a hard fought 4-2 win against Ramsbottom United. After going 1-0 down and being very lucky not to lose another goal on a 1 on 1 situation with the goalie, the Griffins went in losing at half time after looking a shadow of their usual selves. But they drew on all our strength, poise and physicality in the second half though to be simply magnificent. Resolute in the challenge, silky skills when the ball was at our feet, tenacious with our finishing and passing and movement that wouldn’t look out of place on Match of the Day. The goals coming from Callum Jones (2), Kamen Ray and Mworina Doro

Chadderton Park under 12’s Dragons reached the next round of the North Bury League after a nail biting 7-6 penalty win after the game ended 1-1.
What a difference playing in the Cup made for these two teams after the Dragons had won 11-0 a few weeks ago. This time it was the Dragons who were under strength with both Leo Davis & Martim Fernandes missing due to illness.

The Dragons took an early lead through Josef Cunningham after he followed up his first effort which was saved brilliantly by the Littleborough keeper. Then a much improved Littleborough made it 1-1 after a penalty & the game was even at the break.
The second half was a much more physical affair with both teams having chances but unable to beat either keepers who were in top form throughout the game, keeping the scores 1-1 at the final whistle.

Littleborough took the lead in the penalty shoot-out but the Dragons came back after a Littleborough miss with scores then equal after 5 penalties each 4-4.
Sudden death was the only thing that could decide a winner and with Jack Wright & Daniel Whyatt both scoring & giving The Dragons the advantage after two amazing saves from Man of the Match Frank Gibbons, it was left to Frank to take the final spot kick and calmly smash it past the borough keeper to give the Dragons a 7-6 win & put them through to the next round of the cup.

East Manchester Junior Football League – Saturday:
Chadderton Park under 14s Dragons enjoyed a good 6-1 win against Platt Lane in the 2nd round of the EMJFL Primary Cup which now sees the Dragons through to the last 8. Goals came from Carlos Santos (2) Ellis Bradley (2) Saja Manafa and Jayden Bradford. The Dragons also had two goals disallowed and hit the post. Their goal was a penalty which Kye got his hand to but it went in. The lads were fantastic and the football they played was a pleasure to watch.

North Manchester Girls League:
Chaddy Park U17 Lionesses lost 2-0 at home to Moss Lane Rovers in a very even contest.
The first half was a bit of a non-entity with both teams nullifying each other. Two great saves by Aimee Brierley and a glaring miss meant it was 0-0 at the break.
The 2nd half was much of the same and it looked like one goal would decide the game. Lucy Reeves hit the side netting after a great pass from Cameron Eastwood. Cameron then had two efforts that went just wide and Sophie Gowers and Rhea Horner did likewise.
Chaddy’s resolute defending was undone on 57 minutes when a cool finish from the edge of the box found the bottom corner.
The central midfield partnership of Lorna-Jo Holt and Alysia Brown were pulling the strings and constantly providing through balls for the strikers but it wasn’t to be their day.
On 69 minutes slightly against the run of play Moss claimed their 2nd and then hung on to claim all 3 points.

Chaddy Park U13 Girls enjoyed a good 2-1 win against Haslingden Women’s FC. Poppy Moohouse opened up the scoring with a real poacher’s goal. Some great footwork from Annie earned a penalty. Poppy stepped up to take the penalty, the keeper didn’t stand a chance with a powerful shot to the left of the goal. Chaddy Park could have added many more goals with Anna hitting the crossbar and some great defensive work from Haslingden saved them from a larger defeat. The girls were solid at the back apart from one break from Haslingden where they scored a cracking goal. In all a very pleasing performance front to back. All the girls showed their grit and determination to get them a well-deserved 3 points.

Manchester FA County Cup:
Narrow county cup 3rd round defeat with two late goals for Avro as Chadderton Park Lions U18s lost 3-1 away with Jack O’Neil getting the Lions goal. Good football and effort from both sides, who both wore poppies.

Chadderton Park Under 18 Eagles got the better of their Under 17 Eagles with a convincing 9-0 victory. The Under 17 Eagles missing their keeper for the game through injury and with a stand in keeper struggled to contain their older opponents whose skill and technique was evident. Goals for the Under 18 Eagles coming from Joseph Pandolfo (3), Sam Oko (2), Cameron Fox-Smith , Bryon Dillon, Logan Wolstenholme and Harry Marsh.

Chaddy Park U13 Girls were unlucky in the U13 County Cup after drawing 2-2 with a very good Altrincham side. The girls lost out in the dreaded penalty shoot-out 3-2. Anna Keeling scoring both Chaddy Park goals in normal time.
