Denton MP Andrew Gwynne is urging the community to take part in a series of fundraiser events taking place across Tameside this November to help raise funds for a constituent to travel to Germany for radical cancer treatment.

Denton resident Liz Jones was diagnosed with cancer recently, but with the help of family, friends and the community at large they are running a series of fundraising events in order to raise over £200,000 so Liz can visit Germany for treatment.

Gwynne MP said: I really encourage every constituent to give whatever they can to help Liz reach her goal so she can get to Germany as soon as possible to start treatment.

“There are also some great events taking place across the community in November so please come along, take part, and have fun!

Liz aged just 45 from Haughton Green in Denton, has 2 daughters and is battling the condition. After being incorrectly diagnosed for a year Liz now urgently needs to visit specialists in Germany for treatment which costs £25,000, per individual treatment (Liz will need several treatments).
