Hyde United will travel to either Scarborough Athletic or Stratford in the fourth qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup after the draw was made on Monday afternoon.

The Tigers will face the winners of Tuesday night’s third qualifying round replay after Scarborough were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Stratford on Saturday.

The tie will be played over the weekend of Saturday, October 14.

Darren Kelly’s side have beaten Congleton Town 4-2, Kendal Town 1-0, needed a replay to see off Warrington Town 2-0 at Ewen Fields following a 1-1 draw away from home, and beat Boston United 3-2 last weekend to reach this stage of the competition.

Should they successfully negotiate the fourth qualifying round tie, they will reach the First Round Proper.

Reacting to the draw, Kelly said: “I think it’s a good draw in terms of it’s teams in and around us. I would have liked to have the game at home because the last couple of games in the FA Cup have been away from home.

“We have to do it the hard way but, with the squad we’ve built, we can go there and get a result to get into the next round.”
